Constructability & Value Engineering
IT works throughout the Mid-Atlantic region in Maryland, Washington D.C., Virginia, Delaware and New York, specializing in offering services with “a contractor’s perspective” during the design process. Design engineers, as well as state and local jurisdictions, continue to benefit from tapping into our construction expertise in bridge and highway design and construction projects. Having innovative construction professionals involved throughout the planning and design phases produces a design which can be built efficiently, therefore, minimizing costs for the owner as well as maximizing productivity for the contractor.
Cost Estimating
IT provides construction cost estimating services. For highway program management purposes, IT has performed cost reviews, validation of government mega projects and analyzed minority business participation programs. For project management purposes, IT provides detailed construction cost estimates and analyses. IT uses Bid2Win construction cost estimating software, the same software used by many firms in the heavy highway construction contracting business. As opposed to bid tabulations analyses, IT prepares estimates using current actual costs from production rates, labor rates, equipment rates, and current materials pricing. We approach construction cost estimates as a contractor would, pricing the work as it would be bid.
CPM Scheduling & Claims Analysis
CPM Scheduling services and claims analysis are offered using Primavera products. Our years of construction experience enable IT to produce and maintain design and construction project schedules while integrating claims avoidance measures throughout the duration of the project to avoid litigation.
Construction Inspection
IT offers construction inspection services for heavy highway construction projects and is dedicated to providing quality inspection staffing. IT promotes those who continually expand knowledge and certifications with safety as a first priority.
Project Management
IT can assist owners and contractors with Project Management systems to monitor and manage all phases of a construction project. These include document control, schedule development and updating, cost control, QA/QC functions, claims documentation, and construction liaison services.
